My name is Emily Banach, I'm 16 years old as of August 14th, 2013.
I've been drawing since fourth grade, however I haven't been good until a few years ago. Although, in my own opinion, I don't think I've been good until this year.
I have an on/off job as a makeup artist and I've been working on the set of The Soulless an Indie film about zombies. I'm working under the wing of the great Lisa Penzimer, who if not for her encouragement I'd have given up working with makeup and special effects.

I'm a comic book fanatic, I've read over 1,000 issues of comics in the past year alone consisting of Fantastic Four, Captain America, Iron Man, Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash, All New X-Men, Justice League and variations of those listed.

I'm an honor student and I am currently in a scholarship program for my junior and senior year of high school.
Come September 2014 I will be attending a vocational school for digital reproduction, screen printing, multimedia/animation, and other technical skills for both my junior and senior year.

What I want to do when I get older is become an animator for a company like Dreamworks or Disney, with variations on 2D and 3D animation. I also would like to become a concept designer for characters seen in those animated films as well as for video games.

I'm a very soft spoken person, but I'm incredibly intelligent, if I may say so without seeming arrogant. I'm also ridiculously empathetic. Its very easy for me to find myself within someone else's shoes and imagine almost perfectly the situation described to me and the emotional level it produces. This causes me to be able to understand other people's pain as well as joy. It could also be the reason why I'm able to pick up on subtle hints very easily, but sometimes I get in the way of myself and start to pick up on hints that are also not there.

I can be brutally honest with people, since although it may not be appreciated at the time. Sometimes, in my opinion, its better to just be completely straight forward with someone.

Like I said, I can be brutally honest, but for the most part I'm usually a kind and good person. I can get arrogant at times, but I like to think that it's for good reason.

I love to draw, but I have terrible pain in my hands and wrists from the amount of writing/drawing I do, that I've been forced to slow down my work load.

I live in New Jersey in Ocean County. My family and I live where we can walk to almost anywhere we really need to go for groceries and ect. Both my parents however work over 30 miles from our house, so the grocery getting is left to my uncle or my sisters and me.
There's six of us under one roof. When we first moved here, I selected the smallest room after hearing my parents worrying over the fighting it would cause when one of us would be forced to get it against our will. It's the only bedroom in the house with two windows besides my parent's.
